Praying for a romantic partner can lead to more cooperative and forgiving behavior toward the partner, according to a study done at Florida State University. The study showed that prayer changed actual behavior, which was apparent to the partner, the subject of the prayer. The results from five separate studies on partner-focused prayer found that participants were less vengeful and more forgiving than those who just set aside time each day to think positive thoughts about their partner. And they were more cooperative and forgiving when they did have conflict.
