Many couples, both partners work and then argue over who’s responsible for shopping, cooking, vacuuming, cleaning the bathroom, and other household chores, leading to conflict and unhappiness. In fact, one study found that 25% of couples who divorced said that “disagreements about housework” was a top reason for breaking up. Of course, not all couples have the luxury of being able to afford outside help, but a Harvard Business School study of over 3,000 people found that couples who did spend money on timesaving services were more satisfied with their relationship, allowing them to have more quality time together, and avoiding the conflict and stress that comes with disagreements over household responsibilities.
